Fils du légendaire bluesman Muddy Waters et de Lucille Dease, il se tourne d'abord vers le basket-ball. En 2000, il forme son propre groupe (avec Rick Kreher, ancien guitariste de son père). Mais, il lui faut attendre 2018 pour enregistrer ses quatre premiers titres pour cet EP produit par Michael Freeman dont les intéressants "Let's play chess" et "Mississippi found me".

Son of legendary bluesman Muddy Waters and Lucille Dease, he first turned to basketball. In 2000, he formed his own band (with Rick Kreher, his father's former guitarist). But, he had to wait until 2018 to record his first four tracks for this EP produced by Michael Freeman, including the interesting "Let's play chess" and "Mississippi found me".

Alors qu'il s'apprêtait à enregistrer un album complet pour Delmark, Joseph "Mojo" Morganfield est malheureusement décédé en fin d'année 2020. Le label a sorti le bon morceau "It's good to be king" dans lequel Joseph est accompagné de Brother John Kattke, Ronnie Baker Brooks et Billy Branch.

While preparing to record a full album for Delmark, Joseph "Mojo" Morganfield sadly passed away at the end of 2020. The label released the good track "It's good to be king" in which Joseph is accompanied by Brother John Kattke, Ronnie Baker Brooks and Billy Branch.
