Après avoir chanté à l'église, Lynn travaille dans un magasin de disque. Elle est remarquée par son futur mari Ike Darby qui produit ses premiers morceaux sur son propre label dès 1978. Lynn est une remarquable chanteuse à la voix profonde. After singing in church, Lynn works in a record store. She was noticed by her future husband Ike Darby who produced her first songs on his own label in 1978. Lynn is a remarkable singer with a deep voice. Elle poursuit sa carrière avec une Soul plus contemporaine entourée de ses musiciens-producteurs Lester Snell, Milton Price, Joseph Mac Kinney, Homer Banks. Elle chante magnifiquement sur "My sex machine", le blues "Something else is going down", "Too much woman for you", "Draw the line".

After a long and fruitful collaboration with Waylo, Lynn White took her independence by founding her own label, Chelsea Avenue. She continues her career with a more contemporary Soul sound surrounded by her musician-producers Lester Snell, Milton Price, Joseph Mac Kinney, Homer Banks. She sings beautifully on "My sex machine", the blues "Something else is going down", "Too much woman for you", "Draw the line".
