THE BLUES IS IN MY BLOOD

Music Avenue

May 2008

La réédition "The blues is in my blood" propose un morceau supplémentaire et une interview.

Son of legendary bluesman Muddy Waters and Mildred Williams, Larry Williams worked as a truck driver for a long time before embarking on a musical career. He quickly made a name for himself in the clubs of Chicago, his voice and his bearing so closely resembling that of his illustrious father. But he is truly his participation in the Chicago Blues Festival in 2007 that allows him to become to know. This first album is a concert recorded in Great Britain in may 2008. Mud shows impeccable vocals covering a handful of standards popularized by his father. On the other hand, Giles Robson is a little too present on the harmonica. The reissue "The blues is in my blood" offers an additional track and an interview.

FALL WATERS FALL

Mud Morganfield

Winter 2008

SON OF THE SEVENTH SON

Seventh

February 2011

Ses compositions personnelles méritent absolument l'écoute : "Son of the seventh son", "Catfishing", "Health", "Midnight lover", "Blues in my shoes" apparaissent totalement abouties. Mac Daniel, Keeny "Beedy Eyes" Smith, Harmonica Hinds, Bob Corritore).

FOR POPS : A TRIBUTE TO MUDDY WATERS

Severn

2014

Record tribute to Muddy Waters for the centenary of his birth bringing together his son Mud Morganfield and harmonica player Kim Wilson. This is a beautiful tribute - produced by David Earl and Steve Gomes - bringing the venerable bluesman to life. Both leaders are in good shape and offer a program worth listening. However, this album lacks a bit of originality and flame.

THEY CALL ME MUD

Severn

February 2017

Un programme encore une fois consistant avec de superbes moments : "They call me Mud", "48 days", "Who's fooling who", "24 hours", "Can't get no grindin'" sans oublier la ballade "Who loves you" chantée avec sa fille Lashunda.
